Compound butter is simply amazing. Butter infused with herbs and spices while on its face is a simple concept is actually one of the most flavorful and versatile tools in your culinary arsenal. Add some Emmpeccable flavor, you're shooting yourself to the flavorful moon.
I recently made bleu cheese and Cajun compound butters with the newest Emmpeccable blends and wowie! There are tons of compound butter combinations out there, but these two have easily become my favorites. Using fresh herbs and cheese highlighted with the flavor of the Emmpeccable blends is just so 👌🏾🤌🏾 you know?
Here's what you need:
Cajun Butter:
2 sticks unsalted butter (room temp.)
2 tbs de-stalked thyme
4 cloves garlic diced
½-1 tbs You're So Hot all-purpose blend
Bleu Cheese Butter:
2 sticks unsalted butter (room temp.)
2 tbs minced chives
1tbs chili flakes
Bleu Cheese crumbles
½-1tbs Don't Be So Bleu all-purpose blend
To make both butters I use a food processor to blend the butter until smooth.
Toss in the herbs, cheese, and spices and blend again. Then sprinkle in the Emmpeccably Seasoned blends to taste. I use anywhere from ½-1 tbs depending on how I'm feeling.
Blend until everything is incorporated.
Scoop out the butter and spread on parchment, plastic or wax paper.
Roll into a log and refrigerate until solid.
I recommend the bleu cheese butter on steaks and potatoes. The Cajun butter is amazing on biscuits, breads, and seafood.
